In 1969, five University of Michigan professors decided to develop and manufacture thermopile infrared detectors for a new "state-of-the-art" exhaust gas analyzer, and founded Sensors, Inc. Since that time, Sensors has been the leader in innovation of new gas analysis technology. From gas analyzers to smoke testers, air/fuel ratio analyzers to particulate measuring devices, Sensors has years of experience and expertise in emissions measurements. In 1999, Sensors acquired Sensors Devices in Dortmund, Germany, ensuring a global presence and expanding our knowledge base. Today, we have offices worldwide, providing emissions measurement solutions for a global client base.
Sensors' emissions measurement solutions are used by government regulatory agencies in the US, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong, as well as by engine and vehicle manufacturers, for the measurement of CO, CO2, NO, NO2, THC, NMHC, O2 and PM.
